Your Friends Need You to Host This Party
You’ve probably hosted or been invited to an ugly sweater theme party, a luau party, and of course the classic white Christmas party. This year come together to celebrate the holidays by supporting the well-being of those closest to you. 2021 has been hard on everyone. Stress and anxiety levels are at an all-time high. So why not share a healthy reprieve with one of the fastest growing wellness trends - gong sound therapy. Since it’s a party, you’ll also want a festive drink. Bring in the mocktails and you are ready for a unique and meaningful event!
Gong Healing - What to Expect
Picture a small group of friends lying peacefully on the floor around beautiful gongs and singing bowls. The vibrations of the instruments wash over you, allowing your mind to relax as you drift off to an altered state of consciousness. Experiencing the gong is an opportunity for you to reset the energy in your body. I like to think of it as self-healing. My role as a gong practitioner is simply that of intermediary. I don’t heal you; you heal yourself by setting an intention and allowing the realignment of energy in your body to happen. That’s powerful. Don’t we all want a bit more control over our lives in these surreal times?
Research has shown that gong sound therapy can also provide deep relaxation thereby reducing blood pressure, anxiety, and chronic pain. It has also been used successfully in substance abuse programs. Since no two gong sessions are the same, each session is also a way to become more mindful, releasing the mind from past and future thoughts. If you want to learn more about the technology behind the experience, see my blog on Understanding Gong Sound Therapy.
Let’s Toast
According to a recent USA Today article, 1 in 5 people are coping with the pandemic by drinking heavily. “A ‘heavy drinking day’ was defined as four or more drinks containing alcohol for women and five or more drinks containing alcohol for men.” We all know that abusing alcohol is not good for our bodies or minds. But did you know that it has also been shown to weaken our immune systems? This is the last thing we want while in the midst of a pandemic.
Since the vibrations of the gong move the water in the body, it does tend to dehydrate you. So alcohol and gong don’t mix. That doesn’t mean you can’t still have a festive get together. Bring in the mocktails! Non-alcholic drinks are being demanded by consumers in greater numbers. The health trend is here to stay. These fancy concoctions have moved well beyond just fruit juice and sparkling water. Picture a healthy version of the Moscow Mule or French 75.
Are You In?
You take care of the space and the friends. I will give you a one hour sound bath experience with gongs, crystal bowls and other vibrational instruments. The party continues with a round of mocktails, festive non-alcoholic drinks, prepared and delivered by me just for you and your friends. Nurture yourself and those you love by hosting this unique and healthy experience!
